This inspiring National bestseller in paperback edition is a bran-new book and nicely wrapped with protective book-wrapper. The original new book is sold at usual price RM71.40. Now here Only at RM18. A practical and deeply healing guide to becoming whole and finding peace during the most difficult time of life. Describes how terminally ill people can use active imagination, self-hypnosis, energy medicine, and dreamwork to fully live in the time remaining to them and also begin to prepare for, and accept, the end of life. When we are confronted with the end of life, we must tackle medical decisions, attend to family and legal matters, and grapple with overwhelming questions such as: ● How do I manage each day knowing that death is near? ● What has life up until now meant? ● What should I do with the time that remains? Carolyn Conger, PhD, has spent thirty years working with people who are imminently facing death. Drawing on her research and experience, Conger shows how we can use active imagination, self-hypnosis, energy medicine, and dreamwork to begin the soul work that can both prepare us for death and enrich our lives. Profound and paradigm-shifting, Through the Dark Forest can help us all transform our lives no matter how long we have to live. In Through the Dark Forest: Transforming Your Life in the Face of Death Carolyn Conger directs readers through various processes and exercises whose end aim is to achieve a wholeness for the person who is dying. Carolyn writes that wholeness cannot be found in avoiding the realities of dying, but rather in facing mortality and death. The processes and exercises Carolyn discusses, describes, and directs in the book include psychological, spiritual, and mystical approaches. It includes activities such as meditation and prayer, forgiveness, healing broken relationships, active imagining, dreams, entering into different "selves" that form each person, and more. (Many of these activities are not limited to the terminally ill and dying, and can be helpful for anyone at any stage of life.) Carolyn approaches her topics from a very open spiritual perspective; i.e., she allows for any and all religious, spiritual, and indigenous traditions as part of helping a dying person achieve wholeness. This openness may be uncomfortable for more closed religious traditions. Readers believe many practices described are generic forms of more specific practices that are found in many religions, meaning it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to adapt many of the activities into forms that are more acceptable to specific traditions. That said, some may still think that what is found in this book is too close to New-Age and Eastern religion practices. Even if your beliefs may prevent you from accepting much of what is in this book, I do think that Carolyn provides information that can be valuable. We no longer live in a society that assumes a majority religious tradition (i.e., Christianity). We live in a pluralistic society and what this book does is expose readers to many different ways that people around us might want to approach terminal illness, suffering, death and dying. For this reason I think that this book can be valuable not just to those who have terminal illness and facing death, but also to families and friends of the dying, to care providers such as physicians and mental health providers, and pastors and chaplains who may be called upon to counsel not just people with different beliefs, but also family members of the dying who may hold radically different beliefs. About the Author Carolyn Conger, Ph.D., is a teacher and consultant of personal growth who studies healing and metaphysical arts with tribal societies throughout the world. Her doctorate is in clinical psychology. She lives in Santa Monica.
